They we're very polite abd friendly although instead of picking 2 or 3 finance companies with the best rates they ran my credit 16 times unaware at the time. I didn't know this had happened until I started receiving approval letters in the mail. Not knowing much about buying a car they knowing let me walk off the lot with the worst possible deal. I've had my car for 2 yrs and made 2 yrs of payments of 12k and only 3k of that has went to my principal balance. There should be a code of ethics in letting people screw over uninformed people. I'm getting a new car today and my interest is over less than half than this place got me. True enough I was jusy establishing credit at the time and was in desperate need of a car but I feel they should've spoke up and been like this is a bad deal. Shame on the Asheboro Auto Mall. Real dealers want to help you and them...not only themselves.
I can first say I did not expect much being my local dealer in my area and usually I have to drive up to a few hours away to get the best deals. It is Asheboro and it just is not a big city where you get some competition. I decided after 15 years since my last new vehicle and just several years from retirement to get one last new vehicle right now to have paid by retirement. I had a Jeep Wrangler I bought new in 1998 with a bad experience with the quality. So with that said I got on a forum to research Wranglers again and the 3.6 liter Pentastar. Most all was fairly very positive and like anything, you can get a bad one and it is expected because we are talking mechanical things here and they do break. So after I did my research and decided to give Wrangler and Jeep one more go I looked at a dealer out of state that was told can't be beat. I had them price a build and the quote came. I took this to the dealer and they not only matched it but included in a Jeep they found at another dealer on the lot with a few more things I had not opted for in the build. I low interest rate sub 3% and I was agreeable. I was more than happy to keep my business locally for sure through them and look forward to the Wrangler getting here. I think sometimes we may have expectations that are not possible but I was pleasantly happy and would do business again. I just hope when I get the Jeep the engine proves great. Thanks to Traci and Scott at Asheboro Jeep for their tireless responding to me and my pitting them against another dealer, but I have always done that whenever I buy new.
Great Customer service... The maintenance department regularly checks on their customers and provides free warm beverages while you wait.
THEY DO GOOD THINGS FOR ME WHEN I TAKE MY 2016,JEEPCOMPASS IN FOR SERVICE.
I would like to start by saying I am not the first to experience this level of trouble with this dealership. DO NOT GO HERE!!! They knowingly sale vehicles that not only have issues but are a hazard to drive on the road. My life was endangered and the dealership and more specifically the owner Dan Lackey was not concerned. While I understand the car is used certain parts should have been checked especially when I was told that it had been done. Everyone there is virtually impossible to get a hold of and will take days to respond especially when they know they are in the wrong. I had several unpleasant conversations with the managers and owner. The vehicle I purchased lost the entire rear end along with other parts leaving me stranded with $2400 worth of repairs. I was first given two options. Option one they would split the $400 towing cost to have it brought back at which time the owner said he would "help" me with an undisclosed amount of the repair. Option two they would tow the vehicle back at their expense and swap back with me the vehicle I traded cancelling the deal all together. Knowing that the vehicle I traded was in much better shape and not wanting to throw money out of pocket of course option two was the way to go. The owner and I agreed to that option. Shortly after we were supposed to go through all the details of making that happen but instead the owner told me eh we're not going to do that anymore. He said they had already put brakes and tires on the trade and couldn't bring it back to the way it was. He then offered to give the original $200 they told me for some parts along with $500 for the rear end. Of course that was not close to even half of the repair I was sitting on but still any money was better than nothing. So the owner and I once again agreed to those terms. It was not long after that we again talked and again he said eh I'm not going to do the $500 either. He said they put money into mine and as any dealership would say "we are loosing money on the deal already". Show me the paperwork to prove that! At one point I even offered to pay for the tires, brakes, etc they did to my trade because it was of course in way better shape. The owner told me flat out no on that. The owner of this dealership is a liar, has no morality, and is completely lacking any form of integrity. The other employees at the dealership are not much better. As I stated early own I am not the first and you have been warned. I look forward to and will enjoy seeing what types of lies the dealership post in response to my review. PLEASE contact me to discuss this review and claim what you will I will talk to you till the cows come home!!!
So I just finished reading through the almost comical response to my review from the dealership. I love how they not only made up out right lies but also hide behind the guise of privacy concerns. I think the most upsetting part of the response is the the part about my trade. On my trade tires were nearing the end of life I made them aware of this fact. That was the only issue. As your can see in my original review I even offered to pay full price for the "upgrades" they made to my trade to get it back. This upgrade list included tires, brakes, and wipers. The brakes and wipers had plenty of life left and were not needed. Ownership also declined this offer as well. I at NO point said or admitted any sort claim about knowing about problems with my trade. This is an outright lie. My vehicle was also fully NC safety inspected and road worthy far beyond the vehicle they sold. I would like to make special note that my vehicle made it from my house to the dealership without issue. Theirs did not make it an hour down the road so you tell me who's was in better shape. I see also that as always they claimed to have lost money on the deal but I have yet to see any paper work to prove such claims. Karma is real and bad deeds are punished you will reap what you sow. I hope this review saves others from such an experience.
