Extremely friendly staff, but it's an older place so the sites are close together and the playground equipment is worn. Be careful booking sites - a lot of the sites on the outer edge are "pull-in" sites, meant for class A coaches so they are not really suitable for travel trailers or fifth wheels.

On a long distance adventure, I decided to break up the trip by camping at Deep River. It was FANTASTIC! Linda, the camp manager, was super helpful and got me the camp site that fit l my wishes. After I was set up, she even came by to make sure I was happy!!! I think it was the best camp site I've ever stayed in! I had a great view of the lake, the sound of the nearby waterfall lulling me to sleep, power to charge my devices, running water, clean bathtooms, walking trails, quiet neighbors, and friendly staff. My only suggestion would be to install soap dishes inside the shower stalls. Otherwise, it was perfect!!!

After deciding to go camping for the first time as a family we called every campground around and this was one of the only places with a spot on Memorial Day weekend. The campground has 2 pools, a pond, a playground, small game room and is close to the river. We enjoyed the pools but they are opened to the public. So before 5pm or so they were slightly crowded. We also rented a kayak for $5 an hour to use on their pond. They provided life jackets. This was fun. We also bought our own kayak and used it. They were some loud drunk people one night and you could definitely smell marijuana in the air on several occasions. We had small children so we didn't care for the party scene. Bring cash dont use debit or credit cards. We had an issue with paying for our site. My card was charged for some of the total charge but was declined for the whole amount even though there was more than enough money on it. So to be safe they canceled the transaction and we used another card. They offered us a site near the pool but we felt it was just a make shift spot in a field/yard area with no privacy or shade so they offered us another site #25 I believe and it seemed small but it was shaded and we made do. It was however extremely rocky. We brought mats to place under our tent thank goodness or we would have slept right on rocks and gravel and it could have possibly damaged our tent. Our kids had a ball. They were alot of unsupervised children walking by themselves on the trails near our site and on the playground putting toys on the merry go round. They bath houses were clean and close. There was one man on staff who came off very rude. We also seen 2 snakes near our site but it is near the river but you should be careful. I would probably go again but definitely want to check out other campgrounds

We stayed at Deep River Campground for the summer, and had a great time.It is an older style campground that caters to families, so occasionally there are a lot of children. The place is well managed and kept clean and fairly quiet. This is a great place to relax. You feel like you are really out in nature, but there is convenient shopping just a few miles away. We would definitely stay there again.

Great campground for tent camping with kids. We camped with three kids ages 7, 5, & 5 near the water (lot 48). Scenery is beautiful, ducks visited us daily, bath house is not too far away but far enough that there isn't alot of foot traffic. There is a nice sized grassy area for kids to run and playground is close enough to keep an eye on the kidos while they play. Staff was SUPER nice and helpful. They are also pretty laid back but I also got the feeling that they won't put up with any silliness either. Scott and Ms. Linda were GREAT. We will be back soon!!!!!
