Bicentennial is not really a park. It is a glorified parking lot in downtown Asheboro. This would be fine if they didn't close it down for every major festival or event in Downtown Asheboro thus eliminating all the much needed parking in the downtown area. Also home to much of the homeless population of Asheboro since the homeless shelter was shutdown. The homeless are not the issue, but the immature douchebags that think it is fun to harass those less fortune are a huge problem.

Nice venue, large enough for medium crowds and good atmosphere! Enjoyed the Oktoberfest there!

This isn't so much of a park as it is a grassy field, a slab of concrete, some abandoned buildings, and a section of railroad track. It may avail itself nicely to concerts, but however referring it to a park would be somewhat of a misnomer. A special shout-out goes to the old bearded homeless fellow who was nervous about peeing in the bushes while I was walking around. I can assure you that I'm not a cop, but I do I respect the vigilance and homeless bathroom etiquette. The modesty was only temporary I guess, because he did eventually pee in the bushes.

Nice setup, but have never watched performances here on stage.

During the summer the city puts on free concerts and shows free famiky friendly movies. Big Pokemon Go attraction. Free parking for downtown. Within walking distance of a few bars, resturants, and antique stores.
