There was water damage and mildew around the shower and ceiling. There was hair all over the shower. The carpet had a decent size hole in it. The pillows and bed were very uncomfortable. It sounded like the room beside and above us were being remodeled until around 11pm. My 2 year daughter wouldn't go to sleep because it was so loud and our room was next to the hwy that sounded like a dragstrip until after midnight.
I spent a couple nights here on a business trip. The room was great for the price. The ladies working the counter were all extremely nice. Breakfast was good as well. I'll definitely be staying here again in the future.
It was convenient to the areas that my wife and visited. The room that we got was superb. We got a King bed suite. Staff was helpful and polite. Only reason why not a 5 star is the complimentary breakfast was a little lacking in variety. As such if I could it would be 4.5 stars.
This Holiday Inn Express is in need of being updated and remodeled. I checked in with my wife and two small children to visit the zoo the next day. Rooms where small, Not clean, popcorn falling from bathroom ceiling. Worst of all, the AC was not working properly. Called front desk to move but no rooms available. It was after 3 a.m. before the room was finally to a comfortable temperature. The manager took $75 off the $135 room charge. Problem, i stayed at a Holiday Inn Express to get a decent nights rest....which is not what happened.
The staff was nice. There was no phone in our room. The rooms were clean but some spots of the building seemed worn out. Did weren't plum creating huge gaps in some time where the hell was visible. Some cosmetic issues. The pool had reasonable hours and was a comfortable temperature. Towels were available poolside. We stayed in a room butted up to the elevator and I'm a light sleeper and we had no issues, couldn't hear the elevator at all. The rooms were large with a king size bed, pull out couch and desk. The breakfast was tasty, cereal, bread, cinnamon rolls (my favorite) make your own pancakes station, sausage and eggs, fruit assortment, juices, yogurt, milk. Easy to get to, plenty of parking.
